Serge Manzon originally stared life a s a jack of all trades, at one time a diamond dealer, another a film producer before moving on to become a self taught designer, everything from jewellery, watches, furniture, he did it all. In 1973 Longines commisioned him to design a range of 20 watches for the Basle Fair of that year.
These were very expensive pieces in their day and are rare collectables now.
This particular watch is Longines Ref no. 5024. As with all these watches the piece is solid silver and rhodium plated. The movement is the manual wind Longines 410.
On the original leather strap and running perfectly, in superb condition.
