Mortima was a fantastic French maker, making some of the biggest and showiest of the Divers and Tachymeter watches, on a par in size and collectability with the Sicuras and Sornas..
Originally relaeased in 1956, this is a leter model early to late 60's I think, as the temp gaugedial is of a different style to the earlier model.
Super condition, large case in base metal chromed with the bark effect on the front, polished case sides, with a couple of nicks, nothing serious at all, analogue dial showing time and date at the '3', sweeping seconds hand with red dot pointer, 21 jewlled movement, manual wind, compass dial at the top, temperature dial at the bottom, a bit of wear on the back of the case, on an original New Old Stock black leather strap with steel buckle.
This is a hard to find object nowadays, is a beast on the wrist and is on page 204 of the Pieter Doensen book.
